Kaylee Bell Receives CMA nomination

The Country Music Association (CMA) has shared its nominees for the CMA International Awards, Kaylee Bell alongside

Canada’s Tebey and Australia’s Casey Barnes are nominated for the Jeff Walker Global Country Artist award.

Bell has also recently been announced as the first female Australasian country artist to be accredited Gold for a single or EP in Australia in 20 years for her EP Red, and she’s also the first independent female country artist to claim the title.

The last time a female country artist received an Aria-certified gold EP or single was in 2003 when Australian country icon, Kasey Chambers’ hit single True Colours went gold. It’s something Bell can’t quite believe, “It’s just crazy to me that it’s taken that long but it’s also like I just feel so proud to be the next person that has done it.”

Kaylee has had an astounding year, completing a near sell out tour of NZ in June and has recently been in Nashville working with some of the best country producers and writers in the industry. Kaylee added

“I’m Honoured to be nominated for the CMA Country Music Association ‘Global Country Artist’ International Award alongside Casey Barnes and Tebey who are shifting the dial for CM globally.

“So proud to be a part of the growth of Country Music happening in NZ and Australia, thanks to you guys for supporting a genre I care so much about!”

The CMA’s will be held in Nashville on November 8th – SX Country wishes Kaylee all the luck our country boots can handle
